Upcoming events
The Chamber of Commerce offers a variety of events for its members to meet their professional development and business management needs.
Among other things, the Chamber organizes conferences, such as sessions that provide crucial information on the various support programs available to local businesses. These events are ideal opportunities for members to network and gain practical knowledge on relevant topics.
In addition, the Chamber is committed to offering specific and practical training courses, aimed at improving the efficiency and productivity of businesses by providing them with the tools they need to effectively manage the reality of teleworking.
Finally, the Chamber occasionally offers sessions to popularize legislative frameworks, such as the training on Bill 25, which modernizes legislative provisions on the protection of personal information. These sessions are essential to help companies understand and comply with the new regulations.
Resources and tools
The Chamber of Commerce is always on the lookout for practical, digital tools to help businesses navigate the modern economic environment. Among these tools are solutions for making appointments, legal management of e-mail dispatches thanks to Cyberimpact, ensuring optimal productivity even when out of the office.
The Chamber shares the tools of our partners that correspond to members' needs, such as La Route de l'entrepreneur(e), a tool designed to guide entrepreneurs through the various stages of business creation and management. This tool is designed to provide clear information and practical resources for budding entrepreneurs.
Aware of the challenges entrepreneurs can face, the Chamber offers mental health support resources, daily resilience support circles and an Employee Assistance Program through the Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan. These resources are essential to help members manage stress and maintain their mental well-being while navigating the business world.
Specific training linked to current needs via the FCCQ's Visées Program or advanced certifications from the Institut du leadership en gestion (in partnership with the Baie-des-Chaleurs Chamber of Commerce and Industry), are offered to help companies comply with new legislative regulations or meet the challenges of ongoing change. Let us know your needs for group training.
Networking opportunities
The Chamber of Commerce offers numerous networking opportunities for its members, fostering the creation of strong, lasting ties between the region's entrepreneurs and managers. These opportunities enable members to share their experiences, find potential partners and discover new perspectives for the development of their business.
Among the most popular networking events are lunch meetings, in-company cocktails and the Soirée reconnaissance (Gala), where members can meet in an informal and convivial setting. At least four cocktails a year are held in conjunction with regular face-to-face Board meetings (Estran, Murdochville, Rivière-au-Renard and Gaspé). These events are ideal opportunities to exchange ideas, discuss joint projects and build trusting professional relationships. By taking part in these gatherings, members can also benefit from the advice and experience of their peers, which can be extremely valuable for the growth of their business.
The Chamber also (co-)organizes forums and seminars that bring together experts from various fields to discuss current trends and market challenges. These events provide a platform for in-depth discussion and constructive debate, enabling participants to gain valuable insights and stay up-to-date on the latest industry innovations and practices. We held a half-day on air transport, for example, and we're always on the lookout for hot topics. We're leading the way on artificial intelligence and skills enhancement.
Finally, the Chamber offers specialized working groups and committees, enabling members to collaborate on specific projects and work together to achieve common goals. These groups provide a space for the development of creative solutions and collective strategies, reinforcing cohesion and cooperation within the entrepreneurial community. The Chambre relies on permanent committees (Events, Governance, Financing), and also opens ad-hoc ones according to current events.
