From November 14 to 16, Quebec's Chief Innovator Luc Sirois will be taking part in various events in Gaspé, Grande-Rivière and Carleton-sur-Mer to meet entrepreneurs and leaders in the innovation ecosystem. Luc Sirois is thus continuing his tour of Quebec to mobilize people around innovation, to create encounters and to highlight the dynamism of regional leaders.
Program themes
During his short tour of the Gaspésie region, the Chief Innovator will be in contact with Gaspésie entrepreneurs and organizations innovating at various levels and in a number of sectors, including social innovation, human resources, food and beverage, renewable energies, commercial fisheries, culture, tourism, automation, transportation, export, supply chains and medical equipment.

The Chief Innovator Tour is made possible through the collaboration of the Espaces Régionaux d'Accélération et de Croissance (ERAC), which organize the meetings in each region of Quebec in collaboration with various local partners.
The Espaces Régionaux d'Accélération et de Croissance were created as part of the Quebec government's Entrepreneurship Action Plan. The aim of the program is to stimulate business innovation and create relational synergy between socio-economic players in the same region.
Created in December 2020 at the initiative of the Quebec Ministry of the Economy and Innovation, the Quebec Innovation Council's mission is to boost innovation within Quebec businesses and society. When announcing the creation of the Council, the Minister also made official the appointment of Luc Sirois as Executive Director of the new organization and Quebec's Chief Innovator.
Acting primarily as an advisory committee, with the support of a team of permanent staff, its members advise the Minister on strategies to propel our innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems forward, and multiply their economic and social spin-offs in sectors key to Quebec's future.
