The public presentation of the Murdochville Downtown Revitalization Plan took place on October 5, 2022.
Why a downtown revitalization plan?
What are the priority projects?
In the coming weeks, the Town of Murdochville and the MRC de La Côte-de-Gaspé will be working to set up a committee to monitor the revitalization plan. The Côte-de-Gaspé Chamber of Commerce will be present on this committee, as it was throughout the entire process on the revitalization committee.
Working tables will be set up for each of the projects identified in the plan, to mobilize the resources needed to complete them.
The Town of Murdochville and the MRC have been working on this project with Rues principales since September 2021. Citizens, organization representatives and entrepreneurs were invited to participate in various stages of the plan's development. What's more, the partners were able to benefit from the invaluable involvement of the members of the revitalization committee throughout the process, as well as from the community's keen interest in revitalizing the downtown area.
