The municipality of Murdochville wants the population to be proud of its downtown area, and to want to invest in it.
The MRC de La Côte-de-Gaspé has been entrusted with the project mandate, and Lénie Lacasse is in charge. She is accompanied by a FOLLOW-UP COMMITTEE made up of citizens, council members and members of the Côte-de-Gaspé Chamber of Commerce.
To develop a strategic plan to revitalize Murdochville's downtown area and thus:
- Better reflect the community's dynamism;
- Make the downtown area a place where people want to live, work and gather;
- Attract new businesses, complementary to the existing
offer;
- Improve infrastructures, facilities and design.
+ Meet and reflect as a group;
+ Define the objectives to be pursued;
+ Generate consensus;
+ Plan the process and monitor progress;
+ Identify solutions and actions to be taken;
+ Evaluate the progress of the
dynamization project.
With Worksite 1B now underway, the Committee is in the process of prioritizing the next worksite, which will be part of the signage program.
