Expression of Interest - Economic Mission Benin-Canada - January 2025

As part of its first economic mission to be held in Benin from January 5 to 15, 2025, the Benin-Canada Chamber of Commerce (CCBC), in partnership with the Benin Chamber of Commerce Commerce et d'Industrie du Bénin (CCIB), is launching a call for expressions of interest from companies wishing to participate in this major event. This event, which aims to promote bilateral economic relations between the two countries, will be an opportunity to strengthen trade between Benin and Canada, while creating new opportunities for strategic partnerships for growth.

Interested companies are invited to submit their applications between September 26 and October 19, 2024. This call is open to companies in the following sectors(details by sector on the CCBC website):

  • Technologies (Artificial intelligence, Cybersecurity)
  • Arts/Culture/Tourism
  • Immobilier (Real estate developer specializing in condominiums)
  • Energy
  • Industry (construction, textiles, food processing, etc.)

Entry criteria :

  • Be legally registered in Benin or Canada
  • Being an operating company
  • Be a member of CCBC and/or CCIB
  • Belong to one of the sectors concerned by the mission
  • Have a keen interest in the development of trade and strategic partnerships between Benin and Canada
  • Be able to propose innovative or high value-added products or services
  • Undertake to cover 50% of airfare and accommodation in Cotonou for Canadian companies
  • Pay the $500 application fee

Required documents :

Companies wishing to submit an application must provide the following documents:

1. Letter of expression of interest explaining their interest in the mission and the opportunities they wish to explore

2. Company presentation (company profile, products/services offered, history)

3. Business plan or commercial proposal outlining the objectives of participation in the mission

4. Company registration document proving its legality (RCCM for companies in Benin, Certificate of Incorporation Canada and/or Certification de Constitution for Quebec)

5. Financial statements or proof of solvency for the past two years (mandatory for Canadian companies, recommended for Beninese companies)

6. Proof of CCBC or CCIB membership

How to submit :

Applications must be submitted by email to missioneconomique2025@ccbenincanada.com no later than 11:59pm on October 19, 2024. Successful companies will be announced in November.

CCBC and CCIB are joining forces to offer participants a unique opportunity to discover and invest in Benin's economic environment, while forging lasting links with local and international partners.
