Canada - Work-Sharing Program
The Work-Sharing Program helps avoid layoffs in the event of a temporary reduction in activity. It offers a flexible arrangement whereby workers eligible for Employment Insurance (EI) have their workweek temporarily lightened, while receiving EI benefits to offset part of the loss of income until the employer resumes full operations.
