In Quebec, the CNESST is responsible for administering and enforcing the laws and regulations governing occupational health and safety. The Regulation respecting minimum standards of first aid and first aid requires that the employer of an establishment or the prime contractor of a construction site guarantee, on the work site and during working hours, a minimum number of first aid attendants, in addition to an effective first aid service.
