Employers' Charter for Student Retention

. We believe that young people need to persevere at school, and that our role is to help them do just that...persevere. We're counting on tomorrow's adults to be curious, versatile, talented and to have high self-esteem. Let's take a long-term and, above all, collective view.




We invite employers in our community to sign the Charter.


"It is necessary to establish an open dialogue on educational success between employers and their employee-students. To help Quebec employers in this process, the Charter presents different approaches to support them, as well as five concrete commitments to support their student employees."




1. Ensure that work schedules are adapted to the needs of student employees;

2. Provide sufficient rest time between a work period and a learning day;

3.Encourage the pursuit of studies leading to a diploma or qualification;

4. Provide for feedback mechanisms with the student-employee on the success of his or her work-study balance;

5. Inform the student-employee of our commitment to student retention and what this means for him or her.
