The Côte-de-Gaspé Chamber of Commerce (CCCG) is currently seeking nominations for unpaid positions on its Board of Directors.

WHAT IS A CHAMBER OF COMMERCE?
A chamber of commerce is a non-profit organization (NPO) incorporated under an Act of the Parliament of Canada.
- It is a voluntary grouping of business people whose goal is to develop
economic, civic and social;
- It is the ardent defender of its members' interests in terms of policy.

The Chamber's Board of Directors comprises 11 directors, nine (9) of whom are elected from among regular members.
The Chamber will hold its Annual General Meeting on June 12, 2025 at 6 p.m. in virtual mode, where the new Board will be unveiled. A separate, formal invitation will be e-mailed to members, and will also be posted on our social networks.
TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION
If you'd like to put your skills to good use, enjoy teamwork and want to contribute to the growth and influence of the Gaspé Coast Chamber of Commerce, here are the conditions you'll need to meet in order to apply.
YOU MUST COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
● Be a regular member, i.e. have a place of business on the La Côte de Gaspé territory, i.e.: Murdochville, Gaspé, Cloridorme, Grande-Vallée or Petite-Vallée ;
● Have paid your annual membership fee (write to us if you're not sure);
● Obtain the support of one (1) regular member in good standing (to be indicated on the form);
●COMPLETE THE FORM BEFORE THURSDAY, JUNE 5, 2025, 11:59 p.m.
Each term of office lasts one year, so all 11 seats on the Board of Directors are up for renewal each year. Regular meetings are virtual or face-to-face, and are held 8 to 10 times a year + committees, depending on your level of involvement and role (officer or not).
NOMINATIONS - DATES TO WATCH
- Thursday, May 22, 2025: Call for nominations (APPLY HERE);
- Thursday, June 5, 11:59 p.m. (new deadline): End of nominations;
- Monday, June 9, 2025: Invitation to vote, if applicable;
- Thursday June 12, noon (12 h): End of voting;
- Thursday, June 12, starting at 4 p.m.: Virtual AGM and unveiling of results.
