The Conseil régional des partenaires du marché du travail Gaspésie Iles-de-la-Madeleine is actively seeking a member of our network of Chambers of Commerce to represent employers in our region.

There are 17 Conseil régional des partenaires du marché du travail (CRPMT), whose membership is modelled on that of
, i.e., members represent business, labour, education, community employability organizations and government agencies. Voting members are appointed by the Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity. In addition, the chair is chosen by and from among the members.

Their main mandates are to work with Emploi-Québec's regional branch to define the labor market issues in their region, adapt services to individuals and businesses, participate in drawing up the regional action plan, and propose results targets and criteria for allocating human and financial resources. Each year, the CRPMTs recommend the regional action plan to the Commission for approval. Regional councils can also take a variety of initiatives aimed at increasing their region's employment rate or upgrading workforce skills.

Regional councils collaborate with the Commission and with sector-based workforce committees, notably to promote the implementation of the Cadre de développement et de reconnaissance des compétences de la main-d'œuvre in companies in their region.

We are calling on you as a person involved in the world of
, from a company in the region.

Interested candidates should send their CVs as soon as possible by e-mail to

The CRPMTs are first and foremost a forum for consultation between the key partners in the regional plan. The council generally meets 4 to 8 times a year, and company representatives have a 3-year mandate. Sessions generally take place at Services Québec offices, and last 3 to 4 hours, usually in the morning or afternoon. As a member of the CRPMT, the candidate will have the opportunity to influence decisions, strategies and initiatives implemented in your region concerning workforce issues. He or she will be called upon to represent the reality on the ground and your needs as employers, and to assess whether the proposed measures make sense.
